Domain Transfer

The transfer code is required to move your domain. You can obtain this code from your old domain provider. You can start the transfer process by entering your transfer code on the order screen.

Domain transfers for generic extensions (.COM, .NET, .INFO, .ORG, .BIZ, .TV) are completed within 7 to 10 days. This process is a standard procedure set by ICANN. This time frame covers the period from when the transfer process starts.

Your domain must be at least 60 days old from the registration date with your previous provider and must have at least 1 month remaining until expiration (this is not mandatory). With these two conditions, you can transfer your domain. Please check the validity of these conditions with a Whois lookup. - The domain must have no outstanding charges with the previous provider. - The administrative contact email must be active. - The person requesting the transfer must be the rightful owner of the domain. - The domain must be in an active status (not pending, deleted, or locked). - The transfer code must be provided. This code should be requested from your previous registrar or obtained from the control panel.

Domain transfer can take between 7 to 10 days. Therefore, we recommend initiating the transfer process at least 15 days before expiration.

Domain transfer operations include a 1-year domain renewal. When you transfer your domain to Hostixo, your domain will be extended for another year, and this process will incur a fee.

When you transfer your domain to Hostixo, the remaining time from your previous provider will be carried over, and an additional year will be added to it. Your remaining time will not be lost or reduced.

Your website will remain accessible during the domain transfer process. Only the domain registrar will be changed.

During the domain transfer process, NS updates and Whois updates are not performed. Therefore, we recommend completing these updates before initiating the transfer.
