Domain-Transfer

Domain transfer is the process of moving your domain name from your current registrar to a different registrar. During this process, your domain registrar changes. In addition, internal transfers are also possible, allowing domain transfers between different accounts in the same firm. When the domain transfer is completed, the domain registration period is automatically extended by 1 year.

A transfer code is required to migrate your domain name. You can obtain this code from your previous domain registrar. You can start the migration process by entering this transfer code on the order screen.

Domain transfer processes are completed within 7 to 10 days for generic extensions (.COM, .NET, .INFO, .ORG, .BIZ, .TV). This is a standard process defined by ICANN. This timeframe covers the period starting when the transfer request is initiated.

At least 60 days must have passed since the domain registration or transfer at your previous registrar, and the domain must not be expired. You can transfer your domain name with these two conditions met. Please verify these requirements via Whois query. In addition, there must be no outstanding balance with the previous registrar, the administrative contact email must be active, the person requesting the transfer must be the actual owner of the domain, the domain status must be active (not pending deletion or locked), and the transfer authorization code must be provided.

Domain transfer processes can take 7 to 10 days. Therefore, we highly recommend initiating the transfer process at least 15 days before expiration.

Domain transfer processes include a 1-year domain renewal. When you transfer your domain to Hostixo, your domain's registration period is extended by 1 year, and this service is charged accordingly.

When you transfer your domain to Hostixo, it is transferred with 1 additional year added to its remaining period at your old registrar. Your remaining time will not be lost or reduced.

Your website accessibility will not be interrupted during the domain transfer process. Only your domain registrar company is changing.

Technical operations such as NS updates and whois updates cannot be performed during the domain transfer process. Therefore, we advise completing these changes before initiating the transfer.
